About Contractor Management

Aeris Resources is an organisation built on the success of our people, and that includes our business partners.

We know that safe work is essential for a strong business. That’s why we work together to assess risks to ensure we always work safely, we make great decisions based on facts, we make things happen in the right way at the right time, and we look for better ways to solve problems that improve our business, our suppliers, and the communities in which we operate.

Our Safety Management System uses the mining industry framework focused on the control of Catastrophic Potential Events, which have the potential to cause life-changing injuries. We focus on Critical Control Management that supports the development of an effective safety culture and a successful business.

An effective safety culture is key to our success.

To underscore and strengthen these commitments, contractors working for Aeris Resources must register and maintain their compliance in an online Contractor Management System. This system is managed on our behalf by Avetta.

HOW DOES THE SYSTEM WORK?

Contractors will register their business and their workers in the Aeris Resources Contractor Management System.

The process is completed in an online portal by an administrator representing your business. We divide it into two stages to make it as easy as possible: 1. business registration, and 2. worker registration. The entire process is detailed on the How to Register page, and is outlined below:

Registering your business

Beginning in the Company Pre-Qualification portal of the Aeris Resources Contractor Management System, you will answer questions about the type, scope and frequency of work your business does for Aeris Resources. Based on your answers, you will be assigned a category to determine which documents needed to get you compliant. You will upload those documents for safety specialists to verify, and then you can get your workers registered.

Registering your workers

You will be sent login details to the Worker Portal of the Aeris Resources Contractor Management System, where you will create profiles for your employees who work on Aeris Resources sites. You will select the role/s they perform for Aeris Resources, upload their qualifications and competencies (licences, tickets), and book online inductions which they complete before attending site. This information is also verified by safety specialists. Compliant and inducted workers are issued with access ID cards linked to their online profile – their passport to access Aeris Resources sites.

The Aeris Resources Contractor Management System can be found by clicking the button below.

Start by entering a username of your choosing, plus your email address and a password. You’ll be emailed confirmation.

Step 2 > Register business details and answer profile questions

Using your new details, login to the Aeris Resources Contractor Management System.

Follow the process to register your business by answering profile questions and selecting the insurances and licences you can supply to support your registration.

Step 3 > Pay for registration

Business registration in the Aeris Resources Contractor Management System depends on the risk category assigned to your work.

    • Tritton Copper Operations – General risk: $920 + GST every 3 years, $172.50 + GST annual renewal
    • Tritton Copper Operations – Low risk: $460 + GST every 3 years, $172.50 + GST annual renewal

    • Workers Compensation Insurance
    • Professional Indemnity Insurance
    • Occupational Licenses (e.g. Electrical, Plumbing)
    • ASNZ4801/ISO18001 Certificate

Step 5 > Complete safety management system (SMS) review (if prompted)

An SMS review is an independent desktop review of your Work Health and Safety documents by a qualified WHS professional and may be required depending on your site. The documents you’ll be asked to upload for your SMS review depend on your category and may include, but are not limited to:

    • WHS / OHS Policy
    • Environmental Policy
    • Risk Management Procedures
    • Systems of Work Process, including Incident Management
    • Drug and Alcohol Management
    • Emergency Management
    • Training Procedures, including Induction Management
    • Subcontractor Management
    • Continual Improvement Processes

Your SMS questions and submitted documents will be audited within five business days of submission and you’ll be emailed if corrective actions are required for you to meet compliance.

Your business registration is complete when both the SMS and document upload steps have been verified and approved.

To complete your registration, you will next be invited to register your workers. Please click to expand Stage 2.

Stage 2: Register Your Workers

Step 1 > Login and add workers

On business registration approval (stage 1), Pegasus will email you login details to register your workers.

Using these emailed details, login and add your workers – you’ll start by selecting Manage Roles and then Add New Employee. From here you can enter and save their personal contact details, address, phone and email.

Step 2 > Pay for worker registration and access ID card

Pay for your worker’s registration and order their access ID cards to work for Aeris Resources.

    • Worker registration costs $126.50 + GST per person for the first year for the management of roles, verification of documents, and supply of card.
    • Annual renewal costs $57.50 + GST per person
    • Replacement cards are $23 + GST.

A tax invoice will be supplied on payment.

Step 3 > Add roles, upload documents and book training

You will next select your worker’s name to Add New Role and choose the role/s they’ll perform for Aeris Resources.

For Tritton Copper Operations, each worker must hold at least three roles:

Level 1 – Aeris Contractor

Level 2 – corresponding to the SITE the worker will attend (e.g. Level 2 – Tritton (TRI) – Site General)

Level 3 – corresponding to the LOCATION and AREA they work in (e.g. Level 3 – TRI – Processing)

Level 4 – Personnel attending Tritton Operations for the purposes of working on a plant shutdown need to complete the site induction ONLY.

For Cracow Gold Operations, each worker must select the CRO – Site Worker – Surface (Contractor) role and also choose the CRO – Site Worker – Mill (Contractor) and / or  CRO – Site Worker – Underground (Contractor) roles if applicable.

Your selections will determine the competency documents you’ll upload in the system to prove your worker can perform the chosen role/s:

    • Photograph
    • Proof of Identity
    • Medical
    • High Risk Licenses
    • Trade or Tertiary Qualifications
    • Certificates or Statements of Attainment

Online inductions will be implemented in early 2022.

Pegasus will validate the documents you’ve uploaded during registration. You’ll be emailed to update any required information. Upon document approval and induction completion, the roles will be applied to your worker’s profile.
